Instrument Calibration and Validation Coordinator |

POSITION DESCRIPTION: |
- Perform routine troubleshooting, minor repair and service procedures and perform preliminary diagnostic evaluations for significant problems. Place and follow up on service calls whenever required. Evaluate and requisition costs associated with repairs.
- Establish validation procedures, SOPs, and protocols for lab instruments including computer control and data systems. Perform or otherwise facilitate the execution of qualification experiments and ensure documentation is complete according to protocols.
- Ensure that all instruments and equipment are assigned fixed asset numbers and that an accurate inventory is maintained.
- Ensure that all instrument and equipment records (both PM and change controls), logs, and calibration stickers are complete and up to date.
- Maintain and activate emergency repair plans in case of equipment failure, including off-hours.
- Perform regular software maintenance procedures and backups of computerized chromatographic data and projects.
- Facilitate and maintain clean and orderly equipment for cleaning staff to access areas during routine cleaning/shutdown periods. Organize/label tools for repair/adjustment and organize/maintain inventory of spare parts for equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: |
- Working knowledge of computerized laboratory instruments (including LC-MS/MS and HPLC equipment). Experience with Watson LIMs, Empower, LcQuan and Analyst Software
(an ASSET).
- Minimum of 3 years related experience
